Sure, it's just K-mart, but they do a pretty good job of having whatever you need, right here in Marathon. Saves many, many miles!
When we got to the checkout with our beach umbrella, we found one register open and the line was long. Within just a few minutes two more registers were opened and the cashiers got everyone through quickly.
it's a shame they have one cashier and the lines go half way back to the store.
Don't bother shopping for clothing unless you want to step back to the 80's or 90's. There is literally no one ever working in the sporting goods section, which is actually pretty good. Fair price on life jackets but don't buy water or Gatorade here, Public and Winn-Dixie just next door have better prices.

While in the Keys, we stopped in the Kmart in Marathon and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the ştore was heavily merchandised with everything the average tourist would want. The lighting was a little brighter than the last one I had been in and the store was clean.
