I have been seeing Dr. Samess for a couple of years now. I have found the care to be excellent. When I am concerned about something, they usually get me in the same day or at latest, the next day. His bedside manner is not the warmest, but he is very thorough and knowledgeable. No assembly line medicine here. The staff is great too.
Scheduled an appointment at 3:15pm on 08/04/2014 for my wife that is having an allergic reaction, but not in an emergency sense. I arrived at Dr. Samess's office to first wait and then be told by Jamie and staff that they do not have me on the schedule and someone named Robin needs to go home early. I called back the number that I had called from my past calls on my phone to verify that I did in deed make an appointment with the right office, to have Jamie answer and tell us the same thing. They refered me to another clinic that could not take me. They WILL NOT provide their patients anything beyond an average experience..and in my case a below average experience. Any business that makes an error like this should accommodate their patients, by either fitting them in that day or offer some type of incentive to still remain their client. I,myself, was a patient with dr samess's office until today,along with my wife and I will no longer go to them, they have been less than thorough with the 3 examinations that I have had in the past
Very rude and arrogant...staff included.

Second, the bed side manner of Samess is not nice at all. I pulled my kids because they were scared of him. I seen him myself and basically got brushed off for my concerns. He then had the audacity to ask me where I get my womanly stuff done and that he does that there in his office. Yeah not going to happen! That was very creepy!
First off, the office staff is rude. If you can't handle your job you should either ask for help or quit. I don't need to know about how you are just so swamped you can't take a phone call or write down a message/request and handle it when you have a moment. She gives you dirty looks when speaking to them like you're just an inconvenience to her day. I was told once she could barely hear me and she had two other calls on hold, call back. I called back d was told, "I don't have time for that right now can you call back when it slows down?" Um how am I supposed to know when you're slow? Maybe you should have took a message and called me back when you slowed down. If you give an attitude or are just unpleasant expect that that is what you are going to get back.
I have seen the lady in the office and would see her again if she was at a different practice.
I have been using Dr Samess for three years and I love him and his staff. I am a cancer survivor, and Dr Samess makes sure that I have everything I need. When I had problems with my insurance company, they worked with me to get things right. They have bent over backwards to help me. Even after moving to the Lower Keys, I still go to him. He truly cares about his patients.
